Growing up in Burbank, California, Coach Washington played high school basketball at John Burroughs High School. He was awarded the Bill Flora Basketball Scholarship for academics and his hard work on the court, as well as in the community.

Coach Washington began his coaching career by working at local YMCA and Golden State Warriors summer camps. He also coached teams for CYO and Park and Rec. In 2012, Coach Washington was hired as an assistant coach under head coach Pat Fuscaldo and associate head coach Rich Shayewitz at Sonoma State University. For four seasons, he had the responsibilities of writing scouting reports, drawing up game plans, on court instruction, academic monitoring and co-directing Sonoma State summer basketball camps. Beginning in 2015, Coach Washington served as the freshman head coach at Rancho Cotate High School for two seasons. In the fall of 2017, he was named the varsity head coach at Rancho Cotate.

Coach Washington has been with North Bay Basketball Academy since the summer of 2015. In 2016, he was named the Associate Director of Sonoma County and in the summer of 2017 he was appointed Director of Tournaments. Since 2021 he has taken on the role of Director of Social Media.
